About SELCO Foundation:

SELCO Foundation is an open-source, not-for-profit organization that engages in field-based R&D and ecosystem building for the deployment of clean energy solutions that alleviate poverty in tribal, rural and urban poor areas. The organization collaborates with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs, NGOs from various developmental sectors and educational institutions to link the benefits of sustainable energy to poverty eradication. The organization works across verticals such as energy access, health, water purification, livelihoods, and enterprise development with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs and partners from various developmental sectors.

Job Description:

This position would require the candidate to have strong analytical thinking, writing and interpersonal communication skills. The candidate should have experience working with research-based organization/s or implementation-based developmental organization/s. The candidate should exhibit written and verbal communication proficiency, and present complex findings comprehensibly. The candidate should also possess strong problem-solving skills, adhere to research ethics, be adaptable, and be committed to continuous learning.

Roles and Responsibilities

Research and Analysis: For a select set of Government ministries/ Key Institutionalization stakeholders, track their ongoing and upcoming initiatives; Analyze their priorities, policies and guidelines, planned events

Knowledge resources and dissemination: Collate learnings and evidence on successful practices and takeaways/ recommendations from internal teams and partner programmes; Support on articles/ blogs capturing learnings and key initiatives of the organization

Requirements

  • Between 1-2 years of working experience in social development sector.
  • Good analytical skills to interpret data to derive insights and reports
  • Fluency in oral and written English. Proficiency in other languages such as Hindi, Kannada, Odiya, Assamese, Mizo, will be an added advantage
  • Willingness to participate in field activities/surveys and travel to remote areas
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
