Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality executive to join our M&E team and ensure the integrity and accuracy of our data.

Roles And Responsibilities

Data Quality Standards:

  • Develop and implement data quality standards and procedures for research projects with the M&E team
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational guidelines related to data quality.

Data Collection and Validation:

  • Oversee the data collection process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement validation protocols to identify and address errors or inconsistencies in collected data.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular audits of research data to assess and maintain data quality.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance measures throughout the data collection lifecycle.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes and standards.
  • Create and update documentation for data collection and validation procedures.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations for improving data quality to project teams.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with research teams to understand data requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT and M&E teams to implement and improve data quality processes.

Training and Awareness:

  • Assist the M&E team to provide training to research staff on data quality standards and best practices.
  • Foster awareness of the importance of data quality among team members.

Issue Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and teams to address root causes of data discrepancies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in data quality processes and implement necessary changes.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in data quality management.

Data Governance: Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies within the organization.
Vendor Management: If applicable, manage relationships with external data vendors to ensure the quality of outsourced data.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field.
  • Proven experience of 2-4 years as a Data Quality executive or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and quality principles.
  • Experience with data quality tools and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high data quality standards.
